backing up your data is highly important but not something people think about till it is too late, FreeNAS has the option to use the Crashplan backup utility.

I will take a quick look at setting up NFS server, Samba (CIFS) server, ownCloud
and a Bit-torrent client

Debian Kernel building, the quick and easy way

Today I do a quick and dirty how to build a kernel, what options to use I haven't gone in to as there are too many to know by heart unless you do Kernel work daily.

but this is how to I build my Debian Kernel's for my system.

it also creates a nice deb file to install and update your grub file.
